For the 3.1 SFI what is the normal oil pressure?

17-22 ilbs at idle when the engine is ooperationg temp. 38-44 at idle when the engine is cold. The oils pressue gauge will fluxuate depending on temp and engine speed. Dave

if your gauge has L on left H on right you should be running straight up in middle of gauge.If it has # it should read at least 40 psi-hot or cold,when hot, at a stop it should drop to 35 then back to 40 or above after takeing off.if you are showing lower oil pressure,you need to change the oil sending unit.

My car has been running at about 20 psi at idle and normal driving. I felt that that was a little low. Thanks for the responses.
