Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've opened the area up and can see and touch the latch but I still can not unlock the door

My question, my answer. The lock on the latch was broke so no amount of prodding or maneuvering would unlock. The fix: Break the body trim, the only way to get access to the lock. find the bolts that hold the latch in place, and drill them out. The door will release, and now go to the wrecking yard and get a latch and if the have body trim in the same color.
