How do you change a headlight switch on my camaro?

there is a button that has to be pushed to release the part that you pull when you turn the lights on it is located on the side oppisite to where the wires plug in . getting your hand in position to push the button can be difficult but it has to be done before you can remove the dash panel where the nut is that holds the switch in place
