Does anybody own a Z28 t-top with a 350 engine?

are you joking or what?those cars made 240 h.p and 320 lbs of torque hardly twisting numbers.
Well that's why it matters what year he's talking about.. granted none of them twist chassis. Mine however is a 98 T-Tops Z28 with a 350 and it has probably 400+ torque with few mods.
I have a 92 Heritage z/28 305 with headers, shift kit, performance intake and 4.11's and it is really fast off the line. I also have a 88 Monte Carlo SS with a 350 police interceptor and the same mods as the Z/28 and it's slow off the line compared to the Z/28.
i had the 89 iroc with t-tops. also put a hypertech chip, full dynomax exhaust, throttle body air foil, shift kit, kyb shocks and struts, came with 4-wheel disc brakes which i installed cross drilled slotted vented rotors on, and had a 3.27 with borg-warner rear axles also. it was mint. wish i still had it. it was so much fun.
Nice....I like third gens even though peeps seem to give them a bad rap...Don't know why?
id say its mostly because the majority of 3rd gens are in poor shape now. and the people driving them seem to be the typical trailer park residents so it gives them a really bad rep. plus they are low in hp so people think they are slow but they always forget about the torque they put out. i had mine running low 14s in the quarter with those few small mods. i also forgot mine came with a dual fan radiator and stock oil cooler. i also put in a 180 degree thermostat.
i just sold mine to a friend of mine its on his profile an 85 iroc z with a stroked 383 cubic inch motor ,4.30 gears, full roller ,now that car hauls ass but still cant beat a new z06 corvette or a nissan gtr.his name is shaun mcmahon and the car is yellow.
Yeah haha mostly the redneck mentality. People going for camaros now usually look for 4th gen because they come stock with 350 horse and 380 torque stock. high 12's low 13's stock. Personally I'd like the new 2010 camaro with the twin turbo setup they have haha
technically the LS1 in the 98+ f-bodys and C5 Vettes is a 345.8CI motor.
tim is right about it being 345 ci. and they t tops are buil witha stiffer frame as are the convertibles.. but if ur not satisfied put some sub frame connectiors on it. as a drag racer the are invaluable to me. protects the frame and helps it keep its integirty.
i have a 2000 t-top z28 police intercept with a 350 motor. and i run that car quite a bit and never have i had a problem with anything twisting or anything else for that matter. i mean ive done 60 in first gear and have gunned it to over 150 mph a couple times.
You're not going to "twist" anything with factory numbers. Subframe connectors seriously help with body flex though and make it drive much better. After a while you'll see little dimples on the quarter panels from body flex if you push your car. Also it's a 345.8CI as mentioned before... Even though GM advertised it as a 350CI
what year are you looking for they came with 350'sfrom the 60's to current
I own a 79 Z28 with t-tops and a 355!!
I have an 87 IROC-Z28...350 worked now so not a 350 anymore
I was told the same thing before i bought my 2000 ss and there's no way it could twist because it'll break'em loose before it twists anything
