good time to change timing belt

If it's a 2.0 you have a timing chain, not a belt. If it's the 2.2 or 2.4 it probably has a chain as well but I'm not sure. The chain doesn't often fail but the tensioner does. If it has around 100,000 miles on it the tensioner should at least be looked at to make sure it's working. If it fails and your chain jumps it will likely bend valves and finish your engine.
