my 2012 equinox my battery died but I found
out that even with the switch to the off
position there the radio still can be power on
is that common on chevys because I heard
afew people saying with this cars the batery

Don't know for sure by my radio keeps playing until I remove (pull out the key, not completely as my car is kept in locked garage). Even with the key out it keeps playing. Radio shuts off when I open the door. I leave it in the car so as not to misplace my key. (99 Camaro) If that doesn't work I suspect there is an electrical problem, of which I have no clue.
