Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My heater buttons will not light up & the entire infotainment center has
randomly quit working. Usually turning car off and back on resolved it.
Yesterday it happened & I was near a dealership. I took it in and they said there
was a software upgrade that they applied. They charged me $115.00. Shouldn't
this be free?

All depends on what the warranty says. Warranty may be up.

Good question to ask your local Chebby dealership.

They are charging me $115.00. I thought since it was a new/known issue, it should like a recall and be done at no cost to me.

Recalls are generally for safety issues. Just because there is a known problem does not mean that it is free. I also am curious as to what year this vehicle is.
