WHAT WOULD CAUSE WATER TO BE IN THE OIL?

Hello, I wouldn't change the water pump until you know for sure what the problem is. Water in the oil can be caused by a leaky seal around an intake gasket or in any of the lines. If you still want to change the pump, you can find instructions here: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_replace_the_water_pump_on_a_1998_Chevy_Malibu Best of luck! CarGrrl
