I have a 1999 Chevy s-10 ZR2

Question type: General

On my truck I've replaced the switch in the transfercase and I replaced the front end
actuator . The 4x4 works good but when I put it in  four wheel drive it sucks transfer. fluid
up and into the motor and makes it start smoking. Does anyone know why it would suck
the trans. fluid up into the motor that way ?

You replaced the vacuum switch that's screwed into the transfer case? That's the only thing that could do that. Unless you have the vacuum lines hooked up wrong

maybe you have fluid left in the lines ......blow them out with air and start from there. make sure they are clean from all fluid then see if it still does it
