Can anyone help diagnose my fuel pump problem on 1998 Chevy Truck.

My 1998 Chevy Truck's fuel pump stopped working. So I changed out the relay and fuse, but it still didn't work. Then, I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pump. I hooked up the pump directly to the battery and the pump turned on, but when I hooked it back up the wiring harness (still outside the tank), still no fire. I checked the ground wire and it is connected. I noticed the dash gauges (fuel & Amp) also dont work when I turn the key. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Find the break in the wires going to the fuel pump
