I have a z71 pick up truck and as of last night the speedometer and the rpm gage dont work.

the gas gage and oil pressure gages are still working though. and at this very same time I
noticed that my car will no accelerate even close to what it was doing before the problem
started. for instance if i am at a stop and hit the gas it will take a while for the truck to get
to any sort of speed at all. any suggestions?

There is a motor behind the speedometer that goes out a lot in Silverados. Take it to any electronic car specialist and they can fix it in about 30 minutes for about 75 bucks.
