Shifting problem

I have a 94 chevy silverado 1500 2 w/drive,
No mater what gear i put it in it drives forward in all
gears even (r)and(n) it drivesand shifts fine but in
(r) and (n) it also drives forword can anyone tell me
what makes my truck do this and how do i fix it?

May be the shift linkage just needs to be adjusted going to the transmission.
