No I'm looking to buy one and I have the 91 motor and I'm just wondering if I could get a 98 with higher miles and if it goes bad on me I can put the 305 in it
So you think that I'd be able to do that if I am willing to put the labor into it myself
No you do not want to do this for various reasons. The 1991 is a TBI set-up and will not work in the 1998. The 1998 is a Vortec engine with a totally different set-up than the '91 TBI set-up. The '91 engine is controlled by a OBD1 computer and the '98 has the OBDII computer for one, and the the Vortec is a MPFI vs a TBI.
