Replace torque converter

I want to purchase this truck it's a 1997
Chevrolet Silverado 4 wheel drive 5.7 L
Vortex seller states it needs torc converte
What would it cost me for a torque
converter and installation

Well it consist of the same labour to install a trans as the current trans need to come unhooked from the motor and pulled out of the way. A shop will charge the same as installing a trans plus the torque converter part cost, may need rubber mounts, and new trans fluid, and filter change. I would have the shop prove that yes the torque converter is the issue as with many times I here a seller say that a certain part is bad when they do not know really and when we pull that part its most times a bigger issue. So you may wish to rebuild that trans while it is out.
