Trany will not shift into overdrive1994

I hate there parts but autozone has free scaning. Go there and have codes pulled then pay attention to shift points make sure your not skiping gears. manually shift if need be so you know for sure the gear is there.check the fluid and confirm it is full and not burnt then please send me more specific detals and I'll see what i can do to help.the more info the better.example a bad temp sensor can cause the tcc in the trany not to apply.
