2016 Didge Caravan Starting Trouble

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Have a 2016 Caravan with about 15k on it.
Went to start it this morning and it cranked
and cranked for about 10-15 seconds and
finally turned over. I will be getting in to the
dealer for warranty service, but they're
closed today because of the holiday. So I
was hoping someone out there may know
of an issue with these cars.

How cold was it where you are this morning? Did you press the gas pedal when it was cranking? If so, that is a no no.
It was 34*F and the gas pedal had not been pushed. Thanks
Sean as you it should have started right up. Is the check engine light illuminated?
No, it's not. I will just have to keep an eye on it I think.
My wife one day (I happened to be watching) tried to start my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 and it failed to start after 10 seconds. I asked her to stop cranking it and also asked her if she had pressed the gas pedal. She said she didn't think she did so I told here to try to start it again. It fired right up leading me to believe that she actually did have her foot on the gas. I have had zero issues with it starting normally since then. Is this an isolated instance for you or has it happened more than once?
Bob, this is the first time it's happened and the vehicle has been starting fine all day today since. When it happened this morning, it was my daughter that originally tried to start it and it was from the passenger seat, so I am sure the gas pedal had not been touched. She then came in and told me that it didn't start, so I went out and tried it within a minute of her telling me and it cranked and cranked before it turned over. It's just strange because it's a relatively new and low mileage vehicle.
