i have a 94 dakota it will start and run but if you stop it at the end of your tripp it will not start. it is like it is flooded. gas smell like vernish. it will also smoke black or grey

it will start and run when you stop the truck after the tripp it will not start some times it
will other times it wont. it is like it is flooded and smell like varnish with a black or grey
smoke. you have to let it set for about 1x2 hour before it will start again. when it starts
it runs good it is a v-8 with a holley carb. you also can not give it gas when you try to
start it or it will not start when you first get in it to drive it. the truck is a second form of
trranspartation and is not driven very much two to three time a month maybe. help
please.

Sound,s like that holley may need a rebiuld.
