What is this button for?

I think it may have something to do with the old Becker radio that I took out and replaced.

Push it and see what happens. It looks like an ejection seat. Seriously, between the heated seats it probably has something to do with maybe heated steering wheel or something like that . This one is blank. unused

I have an older mercedes as well. While the car is on press the switch then press the horn then press it the other way then press the horn again. It changes the shound of the horn. From a light to loud tone.

That button lets you toggle between "city" and "country" horns. Yes, the fully loaded S-class of '80's had two sets of horns. The "country" horns almost sounded like air horns.
