Engine and transmission swap

Asked by J_buff Jul 15, 2016 at 10:33 PM about the Dodge Magnum

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have two 1999 Dodge Ram 1500s, one is regular
cab with a 3.9L V6 and one is a crew cab with a
5.9L V8 360. The latter engine (5.9L) is seized up
so instead of buying a crate engine or refurbished
engine I'm thinking about just taking the whole
3.9L engine/transmission out of the regular cab
truck and putting it into the crew cab truck.
Besides the wiring harness/ECU and possibly
having to move some motor mounts, is there
anything else I need to be aware of before
attempting this swap? Thanks for any advice!
