Oil Temperature reaching too high of temperature
I have a 2016 , Sport Dodge Ram 1500 truck with the 5.7 Liter Hemi engine. I
noticed that the oil temp goes dangerously high (265 degrees) while pulling my
4000 pound trailor. This truck has a 3.92 rear axle which is rated to pull around
10,000 pounds. I pull this same trailor with my 6 cylinder chevy traverse and it
has no problem at all. I did replace the thermostat although, the coolant
temperature never exceeds 220 degrees. Can you suggest any other solution?
