My 95 Dodge ram 1500 will die when I put it into
gear but will idle just fine doesn't idle rough it
doesn't idle doesn't shake or anything just idles
perfect but whenever I put it into gear it will die is
that a crankshaft position sensor problem

No, not the crank sensor. In my opinion. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? I believe you can get some codes, by cycling the ignition switch on and off, third time leave the key on, the mil starts fl;ashing, you count the flashes to get the codes, two digit codes. I hope I remember that correctly? another thought, high mileage engines, any engine, in park or neutral not much load on the engine, there is a load when you put it in gear. good luck
I doubt you have a crank position sensor. The distributor serves that function.

when you change the crankshaft positioning sensor, my experience has always been i had to change camshaft sensor as well, because it always follows, both sensors to make it run right
