My 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7l, throttle body sensor

My rpms go from1500-2000 to 3000rpms could this be
my throttle body sensor

It is possible that it is the Throttle Positioning Sensor or wiring harness with a broken wire at the plugin. If the check engine light is on, have it scanned for codes. This would verify the problem.
