2011 ram 1500 brake controller says disconnected as soon as i start off but works fine at speeds below 5 mph

go to the dealer, on all the new 2011 trucks the trailer brake controllers are tide into the ABS system of the truck. also inspect the brakes on your trailer, i was working on a tri axle deckover, with 3 failed magnets, and that was causing the in truck controller to be inoperative.

Brakes work fine in the yard. Only says disconnected once I start moving at about 5 mph

go to the dealership then, its got to be an electrical or mechanical problem some where. be it with the truck or the trailer, since the truck is so new i recommend going to the dealership rather than trying to fix it your self

going to take it back thought someone might know something that i could of overlooked. Iwork on this everyday just doedn't make any sense to me.
