When I disconnect cables no power. Does anyone know what could be the cause?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 1997 RAM 1500 has sat for several months. I just finished repairs and the battery did not have enough power. When I jumped it the positive terminal threw a spark and now nothing happens when I turn the key. I get lights with jumper cables connected nothing when I disconnect.
Thank you.

Plates in battery is shot. Possibly from freezing when total discharged.

Definitely bad battery. Probably shorted cell internally

Thank you. It was the battery. I replaced the battery and the truck is running fine.
