i have a 2003 dodge hemi automatic trans and reverse went out and now i shift into neutral and i can drive like i am in drive

the transmission shifts to reverse but wont move and it was just all of a sudden like i
literally parked the truck after using reverse all day with no problem and then all of a
sudden 15 minutes after parking it i cant get the truck to move in reverse and if i put it in
neutral it takes off when i give it gas like its in drive all the other gears work drive 1 2 all
work

okay....sounds like the linkage as gone wonky on account of some transmission mounts....I'll shop for you now~....all I can suggest is that you put a floorjack with woodblock and jack the tranny up about 3/4 of an inch...just enough to show some rotted transmission mounts changing the way the linkage is operating~....can't seem to put a bead on the exact mount right now but you could shimmy under there and compare to know what we are looking for~
