Dodge ram 1500 V6 P0304 is misfire on cylinder #3

replaced the plug, didn't fix the problem.

I just resolved a similar issue with my 2011 Chrysler Town & Country Limited with the 3.6L Pentastar engine. It turned out to be a known factory defect in one of the heads causing the MISFIRE CYL 2 codes and the flashing CHECK ENGINE light. There is no recall, but when i brought it in, the dealership immediately checked to make sure they had the replacement parts in stock and fixed it free of charge. Apparently, my engine was one of a lot of 7500 produced early in 2011 that had a manufacturing defect in one of the heads (made in Mexico). The problem has been eliminated at the manufacturing plant, but those engines are showing up with the problems after about 40K miles. I was, like I am sure you, hoping for a simple fix I could do myself. It was much more serious than I thought, but there were not than many engines affected (7500 out of 2.1 million made that year). I recommend you take it to your closest Dodge dealership and verify the problem before you damage anything or get stuck somewhere.

So I put a new spark plug into cyl 3 and it was still misfiring, turned out it was now cyl 4 misfiring. So I replaced all the plugs and dumped a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in there and no longer have a misfire!

having the same issue with my truck i know this is old but wondering if you remembered what the problem is i think its something with the injector cause it doesnt sound healthy
