I have a 1998 ram 1500 automatic trans.Would a trans. out of a 2002 ram 1500 be the same ?.

I was just checking replacement transmissions for a '98 and '02 with the 5.9l and they're different. Things about sensors and maybe different length tail housing. I'd do a lot of independent research. A lot of people think they're having transmission problems because it's shifting up and down randomly. In the times it's happened to me, it's just been the accumulator or some crap that's plugged up a micro hole in the transmission valve body.
