Ok I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with a 4.7 spun the barrings will a 2006 4.7 fit and is everything compatible ? are the heads the same ect the starting plate ?

Hello everyone I have a 2002 dodge 1500 with a 4.7 engine. I have access to a 2006 dodge engine 4.7l are they compatible. Are the engines the same like heads and all? will they mash up engine to engine with the transmission? Thanks for any help.

The crank and cam tone wheels are different your application calls for a 16 tooth tone wheel off the crank shaft the 06 motor hase a 32 tooth tone wheel you can tell the difference easily by inspecting the cam and crank sensor plugs if they have 4 prongs wrong motor if they have 3 go for it
