Having issue with , i think is a speed sensor, costantly failing.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Ram 1500 and every once in awhile I will feel truck hesitate and a couple seconds later the abs light and service 4 WD system message spears on dash. I took it to Dodge and the computer is saying it is a rear wheel speed sensor. Once replaced. It goes out for a couple weeks then comes back on. I had it replaced one more time and is now happening again. This time I just kept driving it and all the lights went out and was driving fine. Well, now it happens go away then happens again. Does any one have any suggestions what could be doing this? Thank you.

Exact same thing abs/brake light thing was happening to me..even after 5 months in the dealership shop & a brand new motor! Dealership told me same thing, that I needed a new rear speed sensor. Husband said that's crap since it comes & goes so he got under it to find that a wire was nearly melted in 2 from the exhaust. Fixed that and boom, problem solved.
