I just bought a 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and was
told a caliper was sticking. After checking the
calipers and hubs i found nothing. Transmission
shifts like its supposed to but when i press the gas
pedal feels like im trying to pull another vehicle.
When i go in reverse its normal. Im clueless as to
what it could be. If you have any ideas please let
me know.

Maybe a hung emergency brake? You have disc brakes all around, the rear ones will have the ebrakes, a hung shoe will affect forward motion, but not reverse. Drive around and then check the rear rotors near their center, if they seem hotter than they should be, that could be your problem.
It's just weird because if i put the truck in the air i can spin all 4 tires by hand. When i put it in 4wd or in 4wd neutral there's a loud grinding noise. Could it possibly be the transfer case?
OK so switching to 4wd you get a loud grinding noise, then YES I would have the transfer case checked out. Could be output shaft bearing, ujoints, chain... and loss of power, since it tranfers power to the front axle.
go to a slight downward inclined road , and with the truck in neutral , let your foot off the brake . you should start to roll slowly immediately . If it takes a few seconds before you start to move , then a caliper , or brake line is defective . Rubber brake lines collapse on the inside and restrict the brake fluid pressure to drop when you take your foot off the brake. If you think that you have a problem with that , jack up each wheel , one at a time,sit in your car with your foot on the brake and have someone try and spin the wheel with their hands while you take your foot off the brake. the wheel should spin easily as soon as you take your foot off the brake. If it doesn't , that's the wheel that's hanging up. if you replace the caliper , always replaces the rubber brake line with it.
