Probably emissions, are you running on cheap champion plugs? And start driving it on a high octane fuel... Like 93 it coast a little more, but your gas mileage will improve a little, and get the biggest, strongest battery u can fit on there, I got 1200 marine battery in mine, and upgrade your terminal wires to 2 gauge... " Seafoam " your master cylinder( you tube it first and check out some videos, BUT don't seafoam it too often, it's a very aggressive way to get the gaulk out)
