Power loss

Asked by NoShits123 Nov 11, 2018 at 04:38 PM about the Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Help I’m not to smart when it comes
to vehicles but I have a 2013 Dodge
Ram 1500 single cab and over the
last month I’ve felt an extreme loss of
power. I’ve replaced my spark plugs
and my air filter. I took it to a shop
and they said that nothing looks
wrong so what can I do cause there is
definitely something off with it.

Clean throttle with throttle body cleaner change fuel filter and if you use the low octane gas all the time try using the middle or high octane gas or add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.

Well it does not have a serviceable fuel filter and a dirty throttle will cause drivability and idle problems, but will not cause a power loss. Is the check engine light illuminated? Did you get some bad gas? Did you put the correct spark plugs in it? What engine do you have? How many miles? Is the engine making any unusual ticking sounds?
