2012 ram 2500 6.7 Cummings

Asked by GuruCHFW7 Feb 22, 2019 at 02:37 PM about the Dodge RAM 2500

Question type: Car Customization

If I take factory exhaust off ,go with straight pipe from turbo, unplugging
oxygen sensors ,do I have to get a turner or will it just leave a check engine
light on and improve the truck, same question about taking the EGR off,do you
have have a tuner or it will just throw the check engine light? First 6.7 got an
03 Cummins 5.9 been great motor Thanks for any help with these questions.

I think you will have problems as the engine needs the O2 sensors to give the engine the proper amount of fuel. I would go to a diesel specialist if you are trying to get more power out of your Cummins.

Not really looking for more power, just wanted the truck to run efficiently, under impressions that factory exhaust causing restrictions, and EGR clogs you’re engine up

Yeah, I would NOT recommend this customization. The engines are computer controlled and if you disable (remove) the sensors that the computer uses, you are begging for trouble. Agree with F_O_R, seek a qualified diesel specialist before you remove anything from your rig.

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 and need to install that 02 sensors . There Are 2 are they the same sensors?
