The white smoke depending on how much can indicate possible blown head gasket seals which a majority of the come from lack of oil changes.. Have you changed the oil ? And when your driving and you accelerate do you get a cloud of white smoke behind you?? I'm not sure of that would cause the lose in power but just food for thought
