Is there anyway to use a 4.125 stroker crankshaft in place of a standard one on a 440 without damage.the pistons are 10.5 to 1 with standard rods.thanks....

OK, if the pistons are 10.5 to 1 with the stock 3.75 stroke ,then the pin location in those pistons will be wrong with the stroker crank . you could however use standard "B" rods which are shorter , but I don't remember if they are 3/8 " shorter . Either way the short rod , stroker combo is a no no because you would be lowering the rod to stoke ratio by a large amount if you were to shorten the rod AND use a longer stroke crank. Your best bet would be to trade somebody your 10.5 to 1 slugs for a set with the correct pin height for the stock 440 rods with the longer stroke crank . OK man? PB
