What year is the Vortec set-up, what is it off of? and what year is the 350 block?

Oh, 1991 block. But still need to know what the Vortec stuff is off of. And did you put the OBDII computer in to run the Vortec set-up?

Ok, so you put the 1991 block into your 1998 truck and just changed the top of the motor, over to the 1991 block. Which means the computer and all the sensors, heads, intake, (top of the motor) is what came in that truck? and you say you changed everything electrical. I would just start going down the list of what to check, but if everything has be replaced...about the only thing I can think of is to check to make sure you are getting 12V to the coil.
