I've got a 94 K1500 with a 350 and its over 411 000 km so that would be about 255 000 miles. not easy miles either, its a farm truck so it towing and hauling everything.

nice vid. that heap (no afence) did that? you might have the altimate sleeper going for ya.not bad. can you do it in reverse?
no offense taken. its deff a heap i think i have more rust than metal lol. i paid $300 bucks for the truck and have put prolly a total of 72 hrs and $800 into it. whole new front end( ball joints, tie rods, sway bar rods, KYB monomax shocks, i work an auto parts store so i bought the moog chasis and top ofthe line shocks at a price a customer would pay for the cheaper stuff. it has a 4.3l tbi completely stock and a nice set of 31 X10.5 tires. i just bought the truck the day before i did the burnout since i've done the timing chain, fuel pump and filter. everything i have changed was the original factory stuff with 160k miles. ill be putting a flat black paint on the truck to maybe hide the rust and once the weather gets nice ill do another burnout so subscribe if you wanna c the next burnout.

1990 6.2 365,000. Got its first transmission last month.
What year front end will mount to my 90 silverado?
Well I have to drop out of this as I traded my Buick Terraza, 127,000 miles and my Pontiac Bonneville , 120,000 in for a new GMC Terrain with 4,000 miles on it. I respond back in ten years with the new mileage. I also got a 2003 MBZ CLK 320 for my wife with only 24,500 miles on it. So sorry. No issues with either car, just felt I needed to have one I could rely on without worries.

My 94 has just over 35,000 miles (yes 35k) She's still a young 4.3. I bought it from my great grandfather which was the first owner. Chevrolet is truly and American Revolution!!! 5th Silverado I've owned and I couldn't be happier. Owned a 74, 75, 81, 85 and my 94. How can they reach so many miles??? Do your maintenance and they will run forever!!

I've got a construction business and have used almost exclusively gmc/chevy trucks. '88 K1500 with tool body only has about 100,000, 92 c1500 has 312,000, '92 Z-71 has 314,000, '93 3500 HD gas has 310,000, '95 3500HD diesel has 114,000 and has been parked for four years because the electronics in the 6.5 injection system suck and I'm not pouring anymore money into it!!! I've also got three c-30's and a GMC 7000 parked in the yard for the last four or five years because of the economic collapse. They were all good runners when parked and all of them were in the high 100,000's or low 200'000's mileage wise.

We have a 1996 GMC Jimmy 4 door SUV. We're the original owners and it's still running great! We have the original engine, transmission, and all major components are original. We've thought about selling it — but why! Hahaha I'm sure that we'll get we'll over 500,000 miles on it. Here in Southern California the weather helps to keep it in shape....however, we tow our boat, jet ski's, and take it to Mammoth for snowboarding. None of that has effected it.

My grandfather just gave me is 1992 C1500 Silverado with about 190k on the clock, but about 160k on the motor. The original motor was blown after the service department at the dealer forgot to put oil in when the original owner took it in for routine maintenance. He had the stock one replaced with a crate 305 (at the dealer's expense, of course). I also hace a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix (GT2, N/A Buick 3800 Series III) with just over 108k and my mother has a 2002 GMC Sierra with a Vortec 5300 and about 180k on the clock.
Good care and good maintenance will save you car payments for years. My brother is a professional cross country truck driver. After every long haul, he gets a complete go over and all filters and fluids are changed. He gets around 2.5 million miles on a truck. He has nearly 8 or 9 one million safe miles awards. Never broke down, always on time, and gets top dollar for loads due to his great looking truck and no worry delivery times. His truck is so well maintained, he gets what he paid for it in trade in each time. Yes it costs money, but sitting on the side of a road, losing money and a tow costs a heck of a lot more.
I have a 95' 350 5.7 just turned over 130,000. My neighbor bought a 2001 from a fleet with 480,000 it is his every day vehicle and it now has over 600,000. If you maintain these vehicles they will last.

1990 C1500 long box. 139,000 on the dash. Runs Strong!
I might blow some of ya'll out of the water. I have a 1995 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab truck and it has 332,348 on it. It smokes a little sometimes cuz it's got an oil leak, but it runs great!

Proudly driving my '91 silverado c1500 5.7l v8 that just rolled over 98,000 miles
My brother just blew his clutch on his truck after 785,000 miles. the first clutch to go out on this truck.
Blxunt95Chevy, good go. Keep god maintenance, and your quadruple the milage. No new car payments. :-)
We have a 1997 Chevy 3500 express van that has only 518,217 miles.
1997 gmc 1500 4wd ext 168,670 never had a problem cheaper then a new truck payment and gets me we’re i need to go
GunuZBRSB, that's what it's all about. Good maintenance, and very little costs. Sure the newer ones may get 5 MPG better milage, but the savings is pail in comparison to car payments and insurance costs. The older ones can still look good and even turn eyes if they are kept clean, or look like a rat rod truck.
1997 Tahoe. Original Vortec 5.7. Gaskets only broken twice - once intake gasket at 170,000 and distributor at 360,000. Truck now has 400,000 and I'd drive it anywhere. In fact, I just drove it back from Orlando FL to Mississippi (730 miles). Cruised just fine. It doesn't smoke or use oil. I keep the oil changed religiously. Heads have never been off the engine. Heck, it still has the original timing chain and gears on it.
Ten months ago, I posted my brother had 785,000 miles on his truck. He now has 850,000 miles on it, and needs 150,000 miles to each one million miles, and earn his ninth, one million accident free driving award. Unfortunately he cut his last run short as he was experiencing stomach problems and was losing weight. He was diagnosed with stage four pancriac cancer and had to park the truck. He has been taking chemo since the end of September. His bad numbers are down, and he is feeling better. His company has h8 on extended medical, and if and when he passes his physical to be able to drive again, he just may shoot for the one million mile mark and his ninth one million accident free certificate. Wish him well. I was on a road trip from S.Ca. to Montana and driving through Twin Falls Idaho, ran across him two years ago. Small world. Here is the picture.
I have a 1989 c1500 extended cab long bed with 134000 miles. The engine is a 5.0 liter 305 that very few parts will be replaced on. So far the only problem with the truck was when the parking brake failed on a boat ramp and my dad almost lost the truck in Lake Jocassee. What a sight.
Parking breaks never have been a strong break to hold anything. Don't know any that is reliable enough to hold a heavy car or truck on a steep hill if the vehicle is left out of gear, or not in park. All they are designed for is to assist holding the vehicle when parked, in gear or in park. If you look at the parking breaks, they are small. They also can be adjusted to hold better is worn, but don't use them as the primary holder, especially if on a ramp, and pulling a trailer or boat hauler.
My name is Kevin I have a 1994 Chevy K 1500 Z71 Silverado I am the original owner I have the original engine and transmission it's still running strong and I am at 442000 miles. What blows me away is that it only requires a tune up every 100,000 miles so I have this truck that's a quarter of a century old and it's only had for tune-ups that's just mind- boggling it has to have the lowest maintenance cost of any vehicle on the planet it literally cost nothing to own and drive.
1997 GMC Sierra 1500. 139,000 miles (6000 in last 4 months of ownership) Daily driver.
