1997 k1500 front axle seal?

my 1997 k1500 is leaking gear oil from the drivers side where the axle meets the diff.  any body know if this seal can be canged without taking the diff completly apart?

no, u gotta pull the axle 2 change the seal so the diff doesnt come completely apart just enough to slide the axel out

cool wasnt sure cuz its indipendent and it looks like the axle shaft just bolts up to a seprate piece that actualy goes into the diff and i dont think theres even a cover to get inside it

Wait. That should be a welded connection or is the axle tube set in the dif housing and held in place with some sort of set screw? I would be looking for a crack or other damage. I have only seen one leak at that location and it was due to a crack in the dif housing.
