i have a 1985 gmc pickup c1500 350 5,7 .i put a 1995 gmc 350 5.7 in it now i put my old distributor with this engine and im having hard time setting it to where it need to be what firing order doi use

The firing order can go like this, but on the 1995 there is a brown wire that needs to be disconnected for setting the timing. I think the 1985 distributor is the one with the coil on top of the distributor cap? And a vacuum advance, a vacuum hose to the distributor? Need to know these things.

I'm assuming your running the 85's carburated and distributor/coil. Firing order is the same between the two. 18436572.
