95 silverado 5.7 tbi missing and started chattering under loads
going up hill truck just started chattering now its missing as well where do I start?
I think I would start by doing a compression test on the engine. The cylinder compression should be around 150 lbs. Chattering may be the lifters/rocker arms making noise, so check the oil pressure, should be like 20 to 40 and above. If all is acceptable from there then start checking the ignition system, plugs, wires cap, rotor, and snug up the intake manifold bolts, check for vacuum leaks, check the TBI base gasket.
