Where is the starter located on a 1994 Mercedes S 500?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car won't turn over when I start it. I got the battery replaced and all the lights and radio
will come on but still no luck. It does not make a click sound when you try to start it but it
does make a hissing sound. I was going to try and test the starter to see if that could be it
but am having trouble finding where it is located.

I had exactly the same problem as you and one of the forum members suggested checking the Front Cigarette Lighter fuse. The fuse was blown. Changed it and the car started right away.
