Shakes at 65mph

Asked by Zach Dec 30, 2017 at 06:27 AM about the Dodge Dart

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I drove my 2015 Dodge dart rallye into a ditch
the other day. It wasn't bad or anything. Just slid in
slowly and had to get pulled out by a truck. But
now the car shakes at 65 and I drive alot of
highway for work. I'm thinking the alignment might
be off a bit because of the angle it was at in the
ditch. But I'm curious  to see what else it could be
before I fix it. I know it could be a number of things.
Anything will help. Thank you in advance. I just
want the problem fixed before it causes more
issues.

It happened to me recently with my truck all you probably need is to do alignment

Or also you need to check your tyres if it got affected like you would see a small bump from the side facing inwords for most of the time, if nothing then u probably have lost the weighs on the wheels while in dirt

somethings broken you should have it fixed before it breaks you wind up in another ditch and hopefully it doesn't involve another car ,, get the tire in the air and grab hold see if it moves up/down or side to side , if there's play then find the problem or take it to a shop

If the ditch was muddy or wet you may have mud on the wheels on the inside back where the brakes are. This would cause a serious imbalance while the wheels are turning thus leading to a vibration. Take the wheels off and give the inside a good cleaning. If mud is not the issue you may have bent a wheel. Any good tire or alignment shop should be able to figure it out for you.
