How to legally pull a 11-12,000lb boat?

Question type: General

How do I legally pull a 11-12,000lb boat with a SRT-10 Quad Cab?  I'm sure the power is there and am willing to add more to make it mechanically able, but how do I make it legally able?

The engine is more than capable, but I doubt that the drivetrain, suspension, tires, and frame could handle it. You shouldn't have any problems with legal issues, but you don't have enough truck to tow something that big. On top of the boat's weight, the trailer probably weighs at least 2,000 lbs. You'll need at least a 3/4 ton, more likely a 1 ton pickup to tow something that big.
