Has anyone been told it was a throttle body problem?

A few weeks ago my 2011 Ford Edge SE lost power while I was driving in small town traffic with stoplights, etc.  Didn't happen again until yesterday.  y.I was driving on a state hwy. at about 55 mph.  Lost all power--managed to get off hwy.  Someone picked me up, so I left the vehicle for a few hours.  Did ok when I restarted it.  Decided to take  it to local dealership for repair.  They called the next day and said the throttle body had lost communication with whatever??? Don't remember.  Will cost over $600 to repair.

These newer cars are drive by wire or not throttle cable just computer and little electronic motor. So ya could be problem.
