What's the difference bet the 2009 and 2010 model?

Not much. 2011 is when the major changes happen. New front and rear, as well as a completely new interior (which looks fantastic, by the way)

The 2010 is rated at 17mpg city and 23 mpg hwy compared to 15/22 for the 2009 [AWD]. The 2010 has a tilt/telescoping steering wheel vs just tilt on the 2009. The 2010 gets an upgraded nav and stereo with the elite pkg as well as blindspot outside mirrors and the SOS Post Crash System. Not Much, but maybe enough to make a difference whe looking at pre-owned ones as I am.

the 2009 has telescoping steering. and the sync system has an available upgrade to sos post crash.

I noticed it when I bought mine.. I'm 6' my wife is 5'2" its a must have for me.
