Are westlake rates false advertising?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Why can't I get personal rates quoted for any car? Is the rate 4% or closer to
10%? If it's not 4 it is false advertising!!

Based on the complaints I see here I would say a Westlake preapproval is worthless. Advertised rates are always qualified. If you have a bad rating you know you are not going to get 4 percent.

I'm preapproved. I keep seeing 4% rates for 6 years on used cars. My credit rating is 786. I pull it up for a car any car and it tells me to contact dealer and westlake is >temporarily< unable to give a personal quote. False advertising. Fall in love with a car think you have 6 years at 4% and nope. BAIT AND HOOK 'em.

If you have a 786 credit rating, you should be able to get a good rate from your local credit union.
