1998 5.3 Chevy Tahoe

I just got a Chevy Tahoe that has been
sitting on farm property for about a year
there's there's been somewheres that would
shoot on by mice well I was driving it and it
started to rain and everything electrical just
kind of died now when I try to start it the
starter throws Sparks out about a foot what
would cause this and how do I fix it
