what does "certified" mean?

'Certified' means that the car components have been inspected by a technician prior to the vehicle being listed for sale

you will also usually get a warranty with the vehicle.

Thank you, I wanted to make sure they weren't talking about the "safety standards certificate" that is required by the MTO before you can put a vehicle on the road. I'm kind of assuming that if a vehicle is "certified" by a dealer or seller, that they are indicating that the vehicle should be able to pass the MTO-required "safety" without much extra work being done. For a non-mechanic like me who can only afford well- used vehicles, it can be stressful waiting to hear if a vehicle passes the safety or not. Thanks for the info!
