Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

I will not drive my car for about 3 months, because I will travel outside of the country. The battery of my car might be dead because it will be not driven for 3 months.

Is there a way to prevent the car battery from being dead for the 3 months not-driving?

Thanks

It called a maintance charger, hook it up plug it in and it keeps the battery up. If you can’t plug it in then hopefully it is where it can get sunlight and you can use a solar unit.

Hookup and plug in a battery maintenance charger. If you can't plug it in then hopefully it is where it will get dome sun and use a solar unit.

Thank you for the information! Is possible that the battery maintenance charger will over-charge the battery? And can you recommend a reliable battery maintenance charger? Thanks again.

No they will not overcharge the battery. I have one from Harbor Freight and it has worked for years.
