I'm not sure how much money you want to spend, but here's a few ideas of good choices for first time buyers. Guessing that you're looking at used vs new cars as well. I would recommend avoiding ANYTHING made by Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Pontiac/Saturn.. I'm still on the fence about Korean cars (Kia and Hyundai)...nice looking cars, but build quality is sub-par (WHY would they need 10 year / 100,000 mile warranties, if there cars WERE top quality?) -----------> http://www.autotrader.com/research/article/best-cars/215404/10-best-new-cars-for-first-time-buyers-2014-edition.jsp -----------> http://www.cars.com/go/criteriaSearch/lifestylecritieriasearch.jsp?styletype=First-Time%20Drivers
